Ukraine can cut the occupiers' rears.
The situation in the war will change depending on supplies of weapons for Ukraine. This will allow us to launch a counteroffensive.
Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Viktor Andrusiv said this for 24 Channel. He noted that there is a question about the price of this offensive regarding the liberation of Kherson.
“The better we prepare for it, the fewer losses we will suffer. We have a job and not only in Kherson. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will shock Russians in the near future with its attack target. The situation will change depending on how we will be strengthened by Western weapons," the adviser said.
According to Andrusiv, even now we see the result of the supply of weapons. Еhe Ukrainian military is conducting counteroffensives, particularly near Kharkiv.
"It is very correct because this counteroffensive allows to move away Russians from Kharkiv and they won't be able to shell residential areas artillery anymore," the adviser explained.
Andrusiv believes that the key goal of the Russians in the war is to surrender our troops of the Joint Forces Operation. He said that he does not see enough strength in them for this as for today. In addition, the occupiers also had a big problem in the north of the Kharkiv region. From there, the defenders will threaten them, because they can cut the rear.
"Therefore, the Russians, on the contrary, will pull back their forces to keep us there. Today, I don’t see such an ability, they actually used everything that they had and they didn’t achieve particularly tangible results,” the adviser said.
Andrusiv explained that the occupiers achieved advancement at the cost of the destruction of settlements to make it impossible for Ukrainian soldiers to defend themselves. It takes the Rushists weeks and just physically they cannot fight like that for a long time. Therefore, he expects them to change their tactics in a week or 10 days.
"I call it a creeping occupation. They will stop attacking all fronts, and will focus on each separately and slowly," he said.
The adviser added that the Russians had definitely already given up any assaults of Ukraine. In addition, according to him, in the near future they will also give up land corridors in Transnistria and, in fact, will focus on the borders that they have captured until the end of May.
"Their logic is such that we keep what we have captured and will present it as a victory," Andrusiv added.
