Here's what he said.

According to eyewitnesses, there was a conflict between teenagers and one of the residents of the housing complex "Cascade" . As a result, a scuffle broke out and the man shot the 16-year-old in the leg. Eyewitnesses said that the shooter was the former head of the Main Directorate for Combating Organised Crime Andrei Parshyn (he is now in charge of the Interior Ministry's Department for Operational and Investigative Activities). We had a chance to talk to the law enforcer.

"I don't mix with bandit, fascist and criminal telegram channels," Parshyn told Zerkalo and slammed the phone.

Parshyn's ability to answer the phone indicates that the man is not in custody at the moment. It is not known whether a criminal case has been initiated against him. The Interior Ministry still has not officially commented on the incident. Although more than two days have passed.

We called the Interior Ministry as an individual and asked whether there was any investigation into the case of their employee, whether criminal proceedings had been initiated and whether he had been suspended from service.

"Please read our departmental press and website. If there is an unlawful act committed against you, we will deal with it in the terms and manner prescribed by law," the Department for Citizen Appeals said.

At the current workplace of Andrei Parshyn, in the Department of Internal Affairs, we were told that Parshyn is on leave, but there was no information from which day or whether he was on duty on June 21.

According to the Nasha Niva newspaper, the injured 16-year-old boy is currently in a military hospital and has had two operations. A criminal case under Article 339 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism) has been opened against him.
