Ukraine’s Armed Forces Mining Border Areas Due To Possible Invasion From Belarus

In the Northern Operational Zone, measures are being taken to strengthen defense and improve the level of border protection. The situation is fully controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported by the command of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

“Our defenders carry out daily and nightly activities to strengthen defensive positions. Separately, they increase the number of mine-explosive barriers and their density in threatened directions,” said Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev, commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the commander, at present, the situation is completely controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, units of other military formations and law enforcement agencies at all sectors of the area without exception.

As Naev noted, special attention is paid to improving the system of complex fire destruction of the enemy, anti-tank fire, and air defense systems.

According to him, all military personnel and military command and control bodies involved in the tasks are ready to adequately respond to threats from any direction.

Important to note, Belarus has prolonged the military exercises near the borders of Ukraine until at least July 23.
