He was lucky to be 200 metres away.
After a Russian missile strike on a high-rise building in Dnipro on January 14, a horting coach Yury Vasetsky took his ten-year-old trainee out of there.
The coach told the Kyiv TV channel that he was not far from the house at the time of the hit and knew that one of his pupils lived there.
"We didn't see the missile come, we had already heard the explosion... I was lucky and even more fortunate was Rostislav that I was 200 metres away from the scene of this terrible event. Knowing that his mother works as a resuscitator in a children's hospital and is raising him by herself... I reacted instantly. I called Nadezhda, she said she was working and Rostislav was alone at home... With the help of some people - I wouldn't have done anything myself - we went up to the third floor and brought Rostislav down," he said.
