One will have to pay up to €400 for leaving Belarusian citizenship.

Consular fees for consular acts, performed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic missions and consular offices, have been raised in Belarus since January 1 of this year. We are talking about the services that Belarusians can get abroad from the diplomatic missions of our country.

The information is published on the National Legal Portal. The changes of the rates have been explained by the increase of the basic unit, which is Br37 rubles since January 1st.

The fee for processing of applications for renunciation of Belarusian citizenship will now be up to 400 euros (previously - 250 euros).

A Belarusian who permanently resides abroad will now have to pay €50 for a passport to be issued or exchanged at the Belarusian diplomatic missions or consulates abroad. Previously, this amount was 40 euros. If the matter concerns the replacement of a passport by a person residing in Belarus through a diplomatic mission, the rate will remain at the same level - 100 Euros. Apparently, it concerns those who live abroad without a permanent residence permit, but with a national visa, for example.

The fees for marriage registration including issuance of certificate have been raised to 100 euros and for divorce - to 200 euros. Previously they were 50 euros each.

Also the fee for registering a change of family name, first name and patronymic has been increased up to 200 euros. Previously - 70 euros.

A fee of 50 euros will now be charged for apostilling an official document at diplomatic missions and consulates. Previously - 35 euros.
