Children Of Those Supporting Lukashenka, Criticising West, Prefer Europe, US

No one wants to work for the regime.
As journalists found out, the daughter of the odious "deputy" Andrei Savinykh lives in the UK - while he builds his career on criticising the West.
According to information in Elizaveta Savinykh's profile in the social network of LinkedIn, from September 2022 to the present day she has been working as a manager for the development of anti-money laundering solutions for the British Quantexa financial-technical corporation.
UDF reminds about those who still work for Lukashenka's regime have children in the West, and asks the expert: why does the country's leadership allow such double-mindedness?
Andrei Mukavozchyk, an odious columnist of the newspaper "SB. Belarus Today", outdid himself in March this year, when during Lukashenka's address to the "parliament" he publicly suggested to him:
"I want to ask you as head of state: isn't it time for us to bristle, isn't it time for us to start teaching children from school that everything the Anglo-Saxon says is a lie, an untruth, a desire to dominate, a desire to take away. Isn't it time for us, starting from the 'Man and the World' subject, to put into our children's heads the understanding, as before it was 'a German is a fascist', now it is 'an Anglo-Saxon is a neo-Nazi'?".
What a surprise it was to learn that the propagandist's daughter from his first marriage, Maryja, works in the chemical industry in the United States - for "neo-Nazis" according to her father's version. When Mukavozchyk was asked how this happened, he in fact rode off on a side issue.
General Aleh Belakoneu, former chief of the General Staff and now chairman of the Standing Committee on National Security of the "house of representatives", also criticises the West a lot. Here are some of his recent statements:
"The West cannot understand that our countries will not dance to the tune of overseas democracies. For this, they strangle us with bans and restrictions, and smear us with slander".
"Let their democracy, which they have never had, help them. Especially in winter."
Late last year, however, BYPOL released a video claiming that Belakoneu's daughter was living in Italy for extended periods of time. Belakoneu did not comment on this information in any way.
"There's Already No Queue of Those Willing to Listen to Lukashenka and Work Devotionally for Him"
Vadzim Mazheika, coordinator of the Belarusian expert network of "Our Opinion," noted in a commentary to UDF that, to his mind, the claims against those working for Lukashenka's regime in connection with the presence of children in the West look somewhat far-fetched.
"Children, of course, are not responsible for their parents, they did not choose where to be born. And children are absolutely not obliged to repeat the career or ideological experience of their parents. They don't have to look back at their parents if they want to live and work in the West, nor do they have to publicly condemn them for their caveman views. Conversely, parents cannot be responsible for their adult children. Maybe Mukavozchyk didn't want his daughter to live in the US, but what can he do about it?" said Mazheika.
At the same time, he noted that the Belarusian situation is different from the Russian one.
"There is sheer hypocrisy there. Both parents and children happily holiday together in the West, somewhere on Italian lakes, and then tell at home how devious the West is. Probably, Belarusian officials and propagandists simply don't have such money to spend part of their lives in the West," says Mazheika.
If we talk about the cases with the Savinykh and others, why does the country's leadership allow such two-facedness?
"Belarus has no queue of those willing to listen to Lukashenka and faithfully work for him. In the current situation it is impossible to give up such ardent supporters of the regime as deputy Savinykh or propagandist Mukavozchyk. Otherwise there may be no one left next to Lukashenka at all. Maybe in Lukashenka's eyes, some of his supporters do not have an ideal biography, but what can be done," said Mazheika.
The leader of Belarus himself said that he doesn't want his youngest son to study in the West. What does he fear?
"In fact, even if we imagine the situation that Mikalai studies in the West, it would not guarantee that his views would have changed a lot. As we know, the head of North Korea Kim Jong-un studied under a pseudonym in Switzerland, but it doesn't affect his rule today," reminded Mazheika.
He also stated that the Belarusian elites are very unpublic, and it is impossible to assess the views of their children.
"We don't even know what interests, what views Mikalai Lukashenka has, let alone the others," said Mazheika.
