Fitness Instructor Arrested For Participating In Protests

A fitness instructor was arrested in Minsk for the 2020 protests. The security forces filmed a “repentance” video with him and posted it on Telegram.

His name is Aliaksandr Yakuta. He is 37 years old. He is a Minsk resident and works at the Adrenaline Fitness Center in Malinauka district. Aliaksandr is also a certified nutritionist (healthy food specialist). He is interested in history and also likes to ride a motorcycle.

He was arrested because he appeared in a photo from the protests as a “White-Red-White Scotsman” on the roadway. The Lukashists needed at least seven security men to arrest him.

The video shows that Aliaksandr was arrested when leaving his apartment. He offered no resistance, and one unarmed police officer was wrestling him. The rest, in full uniform, run into the man’s empty apartment to the accompaniment of epic music.
