Moscow has far-reaching plans.

Russia is engaged in destabilizing the situation in the Balkans, “so that one country can fight another,” said Ukrainian President .Volodymyr Zelensky..

One of the Kremlin’s goals is to disperse the attention of the West and the assistance it provides to states.

The head of Ukraine spoke about this during an interview with African media. A recording of Zelensky’s conversation with journalists was published on YouTube.

“Russia, as you see, is engaged in various ‘explosions’. Today everyone is talking about the Middle East," Zelensky noted. The Russian Federation acts together with its ally Iran there.

“But look at the Balkans. Believe me, we are getting information! Russia has far-reaching plans. The Middle East. The second place to distract attention will be the Balkans. At least, if the countries of the world and partners do nothing right now, then there will be such an ‘explosion’ again and again. It will not be a new story. There is a crisis in their relationship, and it has been for a long time like that. Therefore, Russia will influence it and force one Balkan state to fight another,” the president said.

He explained that the Kremlin is interested in making the Western countries support not only one state but several at once.

Zelensky drew attention to the fact that the Russians were trying to escalate the situation in Moldova. “Believe me, it’s the same,” Zelensky said. “In this country, the Russian Federation wants to show that something was wrong during the elections” to demolish the pro-European current authorities.”

Russia is also interfering in the situation in Africa with the help of the Wagner Group. The President of Ukraine said that the Wagnerites are training “especially for the African continent” in Belarusian training grounds.
