It concerns revenues.
Officials have classified more information. The Ministry of Labour has ceased to publish data on the indexation of personal income, writes Zerkalo.
Previously, the Labour Ministry used to publish information about whether people's incomes will be indexed for the previous month. This was usually done on the day when Belstat published data on inflation for the previous month. If the rise in prices exceeded a certain bar, the officials indexed some incomes of the population. These include the minimum wage, public sector wages, unemployment benefits, scholarships for vocational training, retraining and advanced training. The indexation also covers incomes that depend on the size of the basic unit.
Gradually, however, the Ministry of Labour stopped publishing data on the indexation of many incomes. In 2022, the agency reported only information on the minimum wage, and in 2023 it ceased to publish these data. Journalists have failed to find information on the indexation of people's incomes in January and February of this year, neither on the website of the agency, nor on its Telegram-channel.
What Other Information is Classified by Officials
Authorities have previously stopped posting data on underemployment and arrears of wages, the average unemployment benefit, statistics on mortality, the number of pensioners and the amount of debt to the Social Security Fund.
Also, detailed statistics on exports, the national debt and state budget execution are no longer available. And this is not a complete list of what officials have classified.
