Shuster: Lukashenka And Wagner Became Legitimate Target For Ukraine’s Armed Forces

Not only the base of the Russian private military company Wagner, a recognized international criminal organization, is being set up in Belarus, but the entire territory of the Republic of Belarus can be considered legitimate military targets for the Ukrainian defense forces. This opinion was expressed by TV presenter Savik Shuster in an interview with the editor-in-chief of the GORDON online publication Alesya Batsman.

Batsman asked the TV journalist to comment on the statement of the ex-head of the Right Sector, leader of the Yarosh’s State Initiative movement, adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Yarosh that the bases of the Wagner terrorist group in Belarus make a legitimate target for the Ukrainian defense forces.

“In general, I believe that Belarus is the legitimate goal of Ukraine as a whole, together with Wagner and Lukashenka. Well, how? Airplanes take off from there, rockets go from there. I’m not talking about Wagner at all, who killed people in Bakhmut [Donetsk region], and not only in Bakhmut, and tortured, and anything else,” Shuster said.

The journalist admitted that the words British ex-Prime Minister Winston Churchill said during the Second World War constantly pop up in his head: “You didn’t want war, but you got both shame and war” (Churchill’s phrase sounds like this: “If a country, choosing between war and shame, chooses shame, it gets both war and shame”).

“I'm afraid that we can end up with real shame and war. Because if Europe, well, and the United States — sure, nothing will happen without the United States — if they do nothing like that ... Something drastic must be done, otherwise [in Russia] they will really consider [the West] spineless. Because, everyone is already accustomed to this [military] aid that goes to [Ukraine], even [President of the occupying country Vladimir] Putin seems no longer afraid of it,” Shuster believes.
