ISW Reveals Breakthrough Of Which Direction Making Russians Panic

Propagandists are beating the alarm.

Russian pro-war bloggers are concerned that the Ukrainian military may force the Dnipro River in Kherson region, says a daily report by the Institute for the Study of War.

"Russian pro-war bloggers have taken advantage of recent Ukrainian activity on the left bank of Kherson Region to call for an increased presence of small river vessels and equipment on the Dnipro River in order to prevent further advances by Ukrainian troops," the ISW noted.

Analysts of the Institute for the Study of War disclosed that on July 2, the Russian "war correspondents" appealed to the leaders of the republics of Dagestan and Tatarstan, Astrakhan Region, Krasnodar Region and Primorye Territory to send boats confiscated from poachers to the front line in Kherson Region.

It is also known that one of these Russian "war correspondents" has called for the revival of the Dnepr flotilla, a special military river unit that took part back in the Russian-Turkish wars.

"He argues that a revived Dnepr flotilla could significantly improve the position of Russian forces in the Kherson direction and that this grouping could be reinforced with common civilian-use boats," ISW noted.

The analysts explained that the general uneasiness of Russian pro-war bloggers about recent Ukrainian activity on the Dnipro indicates that they fear Ukraine's ability to force the river and believe that the current command of the Dnepr grouping has not sufficiently prepared its troops for such a capability.
