"Cunning" did not help the occupants.
Fierce fighting continues on the Zaporizhzhia front for the village of Robotyne. Footage from the front line shows a Russian infantry fighting vehicle with the letters Z. It is flanked by bundles of planed logs.
BILD military analyst Julian Röpke suggests that this was done for extra protection in case enemy tank or artillery shells hit it. However, the stratagem did not work: the vehicle hit a mine, lost momentum and was destroyed by a Ukrainian kamikaze drone.
A few days later, AFU fighters filmed the remains of the same BMP with logs and two letters Z again. As Röpke notes, this indicates that the Ukrainian army has moved forward near Robotyne and found itself where Russian positions had recently been.
