‘There Will Be 500-Missile Strike On Russia’

The SSU reserve Major General spoke about NATO's plan in the event of direct aggression by the Russian Federation.
In case the Russian Federation starts a war against NATO countries, the Alliance has developed a response scenario. This was stated on the FREEDOM TV channel by Ukrainian military and public figure, Major General of the SSU reserve, deputy head of the SSU (2014-2015), director of the Security Sector Reform Agency, national security expert Viktor Yahun.
— NATO has developed a scenario for waging war against Russia if something happens, will it be Russian troops crossing the border, or some very serious conflict situation. This scenario includes raising strategic aviation, and a salvo of about 500 missiles. So that you understand the difference, when the Houthis were hit for the first time there were about 100 missiles at the same time, plus or minus with timing. Then there will be a strike of 500 missiles on Russia,” he said.
And first of all, the expert clarified, these missiles will fly through those decision-making centers, as they call them, in the depths of Russia.
“Which the Russians definitely won’t be able to cover in time, because the air defense system can’t even protect them from our drones. Russia knows about this, they understand it all, and the only thing that remains for them is the rhetoric of a nuclear state waving its club,” says Yahun.
However, notes the SSU reserve Major General, experts have been talking for several years about a very high probability that in the Russian Federation some missiles simply will not take off from the silos, and another part may explode right at the site of their launch.
“Officers serving in the strategic deterrence forces know this, and it remains to be seen whether they will press the buttons. That is, there are so many factors that Russia’s nuclear weapons may actually be at the same level as the level of its army, the myth about which has crumbled in Ukraine,” concluded Viktor Yahun.
