The former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine passed it before his appointment as ambassador.
General Valery Zaluzhny, before being appointed ambassador to Great Britain, passed the Military Medical Commission and was declared unfit for military service, ZN.UA writes, citing sources.
It is reported that the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine passed the Military Medical Commission back in the winter, and in February he wrote a report on his dismissal from military service.
“After being dismissed from his post by the decision of the President, Zaluzhny was placed at the disposal of the Minister of Defense. Defense Minister Umerov did not offer any significant military position adequate to Zaluzhny’s level of training and experience, just as President Zelensky did not offer it earlier,” the publication writes.
After this, Zaluzhny decided to resign from military service.
In addition, the message says that it is currently unknown whether the Minister of Defense signed the report after the President announced his intention to send Valery Zaluzhny as ambassador to London.
Important to note, the other day it became known that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky agreed on the candidacy of Valery Zaluzhny for the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
