According to the relatives of the detainees, the law enforcement agencies arranged a mass roundup of conscripts, who tried to legally avoid military service, last week, Friday, May 24.
Those who could be detained at their residential addresses or in the street were brought as evaders to the collection point on Ugreshskaya Street. Dozens of families arrived there by evening. Most of them allegedly had certificates of ineligibility for service of their relatives or documents on the right to deferment from service, but the head of the military recruitment centre ignored people's appeals.
The relatives are still not able to get in touch with the conscripts, who were taken to the military unit at night. They have already written collective applications to the prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee.
