Spicy Details Emerge In Case Of Interior Ministry Captain Who Headed Gang In Balaclavas

Is the captain about to face other charges?
A fortnight ago it became known that the captain of the local criminal investigation department Mikhail Zhirski was detained in Dokshytsy as part of the ‘case of raiders in balaclavas’. A balaclava and non-service weapons were found at his place of residence.
The Interior Ministry did not recognise the involvement of its employee in the atrocities.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakou denied Zhirski's involvement in the gang of raiders in a staged conversation with a departmental correspondent (in the spirit of ‘if you hadn't asked, I wouldn't have told you about it’). At the same time, he did not say anything about the fate of his former employee, who, according to ‘Nasha Niva,’ is currently in the KGB pre-trial detention centre.
Perhaps, they are going to remove the captain from the raiders' case, while charging him with other offences? ‘Nasha Niva’ knows the spicy details of the investigation, but it is impossible to make them public without giving a tip-off to the sources.
Active participation of an Interior Ministry employee in an organised criminal gang damages the reputation of the entire department. Therefore, it is most likely that Zhirski's case will be removed into a separate one and reclassified to ‘abuse of authority’ and other articles, which will be enough for a harsh sentence.
Former employees of law enforcement agencies confirm that it is a common practice to try employees separately from their accomplices. It is rarely abandoned after the disgrace of ‘Case 19’, when the whole country saw KGB and Interior Ministry officers in the same cage with drug lord Kanstantsin Viliuha>/b.
In the case of Zhirski, the interesting point is that Mikhail's father, Vasil Zhirski, is also a militiaman. A retired major, whose last place of service was the head of criminal investigation of the Sharkaushchyna district police department.
It is known for sure that investigators and internal security services are actively working with the personnel of the Dokshytsy police department. ‘Literally do not get out of the police station,’ say those familiar with the development of events.
All employees of the local police have signed non-disclosure agreements for the duration of the investigation.
