Media: Lukashist From Homel To Stand Trial For Sexual Violence

On February 6, the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Homel will begin hearing the case of Oleh Sakhin. He is accused of violent sexual acts (Article 167, Part 3 of the Criminal Code). The trial will be closed, the details of the case are unknown.

Part 3 of Article 167 is charged for "actions committed against a person who is obviously a minor, or that resulted in the death of the victim through negligence, or causing serious bodily harm, or HIV infection, or other serious consequences." This carries a sentence of eight to fifteen years.

The man accused in this case, as Flagshtok found out, worked at the Homel State College of Consumer Services. The college's social media page still contains references to Sakhin as the author of texts on educational work with students. He wrote mainly about the so-called "patriotic education".

The man also wrote reports on the participation of college youth in ideological events. The last of them was published on September 18, he talks about the celebration of National Unity Day. After that, Sahin's name was not mentioned in the college's public page, and he did not update his pages on the social network either. In information about himself, Sakhin mentioned that he was married and worked at a consumer services college.
