Democrats Sharply Criticize Trump For Quarrel With Zelensky

American Democratic senators criticized US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance for their disgraceful attitude towards Ukraine, accusing them of supporting Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Their assessment is cited by CNN and the Financial Times.

“Trump and Vance are doing Putin's dirty work,” the FT quoted Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer as saying.

Meanwhile, Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego called the behavior of US leaders “a disgrace,” and Chris Murphy from Connecticut said it was “an absolute disgrace for America.”

Senator Brian Schatz from Hawaii believes that Trump's behavior in the Oval Office shows that the president “does not share the values of Americans.”

“This is about the American presidency going off the rails and taking the side of the bad guys,” Schatz said of Trump’s actions in the Oval Office. “He did it on purpose in the Oval. We all have to seriously consider the possibility that the President of the United States does not share the values of … Americans,” Schatz said.
