The "Shahed" Jet Made Its First Flight To Lviv

It was shot down by air defense.

On the morning of October 10, a Russian jet-powered drone entered the territory of Lviv. Air defense forces shot it down near the city. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties, injuries, or damage. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, and the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozitsky.

At 7:19 a.m., the Air Force warned of a jet-powered drone moving toward Vynnyky and Lviv. Subsequently, military officials clarified that the aerial target was heading toward the port of Lviv.

Almost simultaneously, Andriy Sadovyi reported an enemy drone heading toward the city. At 7:23 a.m., the mayor clarified that the drone had already entered Lviv’s territory.

Subsequently, Maksym Kozytskyi reported that air defense systems were engaged and later confirmed that the drone had been destroyed near Lviv.

The Air Force and local authorities reported on the same drone, which the military identified as a jet-powered drone. This is the first known instance of a Russian jet-powered drone entering the territory of Lviv directly.
