Park Ki-chang, who had previously been recalled by Seoul, is already back in his home country.

South Korean Ambassador Park Ki-chang, who had previously been recalled by Seoul, has left Ukraine and is now back in his home country. This was reported by the South Korean news agency Yonhap. According to Yonhap, Park Ki-chang is already back in his home country.

He arrived in South Korea two days after the South Korean Foreign Ministry announced his recall.

The South Korean government decided to recall its ambassador from Ukraine due to “unresolved issues” between the two countries. Seoul continues to hope for a diplomatic resolution to the problems that have arisen.

In response, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Georgy Tikhiy stated that Kyiv is ready to resume constructive dialogue with Seoul.

In his view, “diplomatic relations should take precedence over emotions.”

As a reminder, in September, it became known to the international community that Ukraine had handed over to South Korea two North Korean soldiers who had been captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. South Korean President Lee Jae-myung accused Ukraine of disclosing classified information and demanded an apology.
