The railroad line between Bryansk, Unecha, and Gomel has been damaged.
In Russia's Bryansk Region, drone attacks have disrupted rail service on the Bryansk–Unecha–Gomel route. As a result, the Minsk–Anapa train will be rerouted, Bryansk Region Governor Yegor Kovalchuk announced on October 10.
According to the governor, a railroad bridge in the Vygonichsky District was attacked, and the tracks were damaged. This appears to refer to the “Blue Bridge” across the Desna River at the 34–35-kilometer mark of the Bryansk–Gomel line, writes “Zerkalo”.
“Rail service on the Bryansk–Unecha–Gomel route has been disrupted. <…> The Minsk–Anapa train will be rerouted via Smolensk to the Bryansk-Orlovsky station and back,” — Kovalchuk said.
As a reminder, Russian railway infrastructure in the Bryansk region, which borders Belarus, is under attack by drones. For example, it was reported that on September 29, the Trosna–Rzhanitsa section was attacked. On the same day, BelZhD announced that “for technical reasons,” the route and schedule of Train No. 301 (Adler–Minsk) were being adjusted.
Prior to this, the Unecha station—through which trains from the resort towns of Anapa and Adler travel to Belarus—was affected; BelZhD had already announced on September 28 that a train from Anapa would be rerouted. And on October 9—from Adler.
