Earlier, Zelenskyy stated that Kyiv had not received any warnings from its partners during the Russian Federation's attack.
The U.S. continues to share intelligence with Ukraine, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters.
“No, we didn’t do that (we didn’t stop sharing intelligence. — Ed.). We helped them. But we are really helping them find a definitive answer. We want the war to end,” he said.
Earlier on Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that during a nighttime attack, five Russian ballistic missiles struck civilian infrastructure in Kyiv. He noted that there had been no warning from partners about this strike, even though such intelligence “helps save people’s lives, and this is one of the most critical issues.”
According to Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have not attacked Russian oil refineries or energy facilities for two days following U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of energy ceasefire. At the same time, Russia continues to strike Ukraine’s energy infrastructure; during this same period, 19 regions of the country were attacked, Zelenskyy noted.
The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that it had not received any advance warning of the missile strike planned for the night of October 13. “Ballistic targets were detected by radar systems immediately during the attack on Kyiv. No information was received regarding launches from enemy territory,” the military reported. At the same time, Air Force spokesperson Yuriy Ignat noted that “there are times” when information about the activity of Russian strategic aviation at its home airfields “does not reach” the Ukrainian Armed Forces for technical reasons.
