U.S. President Donald Trump once again brought up Cuba and stated that Washington would address the issue of the island “on the way back from Iran.” After that, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will be sent there to see the matter through to the end.

“We’ll be returning from Iran. These beautiful ships will sail past Cuba. One of them will stop about 50 yards from the coast. They’ll raise their hands, and then we’ll send Marco Rubio there to see it through,” Trump said.

Meanwhile, Rubio himself wrote on social media platform X that for those seeking positive change in Cuba—“the time has come.”

“Disillusionment with unfulfilled promises, corruption, and the privileged lives of the few—seize this opportunity to bring about the change you desire through confidential cooperation with the CIA,” the U.S. Secretary of State concluded.
