MAGA Activist Laura Lumer Called On Americans To Learn From Ukraine

A Trump ally was impressed by the heroism of the Ukrainians.

Laura Loomer, a blogger close to Donald Trump, called on Americans to pay attention to how Russian President Vladimir Putin is terrorizing Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, and stated that the U.S. has something to learn from Ukraine. She wrote about this on the social media platform X.

Lumer drew her readers’ attention to the fact that the Russian occupation forces continue to attack Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

For example, on the night of October 23, Russian occupiers launched a massive strike on one of DTEK’s thermal power plants, causing it to stop generating electricity.

The American MAGA activist visited this plant in July 2026, when she traveled to Kyiv to interview Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

She learned firsthand what it’s like for civilians who are terrorized every day by the Russian army. Lumer also expressed her admiration for the courage of Ukrainian energy workers.

“What struck me most was their (the Ukrainian power workers’—Ed.) patriotism. Each of them understands that they could become a target simply for going to work. And yet they continue to work, because they believe that maintaining Ukraine’s energy supply is part of defending their country against Putin’s aggression,” Lumer wrote.
