Clear conditions were set for the Kremlin.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gar Stere discussed de-escalation measures regarding Ukraine’s energy sector and infrastructure with the Russian dictator.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Alex and Jonas made it clear to the Russian leader that real de-escalation steps are needed regarding our energy sector and infrastructure,” the head of state emphasized.

The President of Ukraine added that he discussed with European officials the preparations for a trilateral meeting scheduled for November between the leadership teams of Ukraine, the U.S., and the aggressor country.

“Finland and Norway, as countries bordering Russia, have a particular interest in sound and reliable security solutions,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to him, they also discussed various formats for Ukraine’s cooperation with European partners that could be useful “for further support of diplomacy, defense, and collective security.”

As a reminder, on October 27, Stubb and Stere held a phone conversation with the Russian dictator. The parties discussed the war against Ukraine and possible ways to end it.

Prior to the conversation, the leaders of Finland and Norway consulted with Kyiv to convey Ukraine’s position ahead of the peace talks in Abu Dhabi.
