Aircraft and ammunition will be included in a new Polish aid package worth about 50 million euros.

In the near future, Poland will transfer two Soviet-made MiG-29 fighter jets, as well as ammunition, to Ukraine.

This was announced by Darius Lukowski, director of the Department of Strategy and Defense Planning at the Polish Ministry of National Defense, according to Rzeczpospolita.

It is important to understand that the aircraft and ammunition will be part of a new Polish aid package worth approximately 50 million euros.

Journalists asked Lukowski when Ukraine would actually receive the fighter jets.

“In the near future. The decision has been made, and these two MiG-29s will be transferred,” the official emphasized.

As the media has discovered, one of the aircraft has already reached the end of its service life, while the second is still airworthy.

In addition, the aid package will include:

155-mm and 152-mm artillery ammunition;

20 rounds of 102-mm ammunition for the six-barrel cannons on F-16 fighter jets, as well as missiles for the “Perun” man-portable air defense systems.

The Polish Ministry of National Defense has officially confirmed that Warsaw is indeed preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine.

The ministry explained that the scope of the package will depend on national security needs and the capabilities of the Polish Army, as determined by the Chief of the General Staff.

The Polish Ministry of National Defense also added that the aid will include, in particular, the transfer of equipment that the Polish military is decommissioning at the end of its service life. Although this equipment will no longer be used in Poland, it may still be useful to Ukraine.

At the same time, the Polish Ministry of Defense did not disclose exactly which weapons and equipment would be included in the new aid package, citing the confidential nature of the information.
