Russia's International Reserves Fell By $9.5 Billion Over The Past Week

As of October 2, Russia’s international reserves stood at $733.2 billion, down from $742.7 billion on September 25. They decreased by $9.5 billion, or 1.3%, according to data from the Bank of Russia.
International reserves are highly liquid foreign assets held by the Central Bank and the Russian government. They consist of foreign currency holdings, special drawing rights, a reserve position in the International Monetary Fund, and monetary gold.
According to the latest data from the Bank of Russia, monetary gold accounted for 41.2% ($301.6 billion) of Russia’s international reserves.
