One Of The Hardest Blows To Putin's Economy

A Democratic victory in the U.S. could have a very positive impact on Ukraine.

A Trump defeat in the midterm elections could have a very significant positive effect on the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Voters’ main grievances against the administration have been high prices and the failed war with Iran.

Trump will remain in power for another two years, but he will undoubtedly want to get rid of these two problems.

While I have no sympathy for the Iranian regime, I have to admit that Trump’s war is clearly a failure. He will either have to take a series of decisive actions and see the war through to the end, or make compromises that may not be in the U.S.’s best interest.

In that case, the conflict could be resolved or put on hold. Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz will begin to resume, and oil and transportation prices will fall.

And this is probably one of the hardest blows that can be dealt to Putin’s economy.

After all, it would have been difficult for Putin to receive a greater gift than a war that effectively blocked the Strait of Hormuz and sent oil prices soaring past $100.
