The consequences of the Ukrainian attack were shown in new videos.

An eyewitness video has surfaced showing the aftermath of a Ukrainian attack on the seaport of Primorsk near St. Petersburg, in the Leningrad region. The footage, shot on a cell phone, shows a large-scale fire that has been going on for more than two days, with thick black smoke from burning oil products rising hundreds of meters, writes "Dialog.UA".

The columns of acrid black smoke can be seen many kilometers away, the wind carries them towards the Russian mainland.

Oil transshipment stopped

Ukrainian drones on Sunday night attacked the port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea, which is a key export point for Russian oil and diesel fuel.

Preliminary reports say oil transshipment has been halted, with Russia unable to pump crude into tankers. Primorsk is considered the largest oil port in northwestern Russia. Its capacity allows it to handle about 900,000 barrels of oil and oil products per day.

The fire may last for a long time

According to experts, fires at facilities with oil products often last until the fuel is completely burned out, which complicates the extinguishing process. A large-scale fire at the port could lead to long-term disruptions in supply logistics.

The attack led to the shutdown of one of Russia's key oil export hubs. The disruption in the port may affect oil supplies via the Baltic direction.
