One year minimum.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said that during his visit to the Middle East he agreed on diesel supplies for Ukraine for at least one year.

The head of state said this while speaking to the press.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine set itself two tasks and both it fulfilled.

"I had to agree, further it is already a question of Naftogaz, that in case of a deficit and a strong challenge in the world, how to provide, for example, diesel to the country. I yesterday agreed on diesel for at least a year. Here. And further it is a question of our company and local companies," - said the Ukrainian President.

He also said that the fuel reserves in Ukraine were empty. The reasons why the country has not replenished them are Russian strikes since the beginning of the war, as well as long-term contracts that Ukrainian companies, the private sector or Ukrnafta have.

"That is, our reserves are in contracts. But when there are challenges, there is a deficit, it can work, or it can slow down. That's why you need long-term agreements with energy countries, I would say so. This is what we are negotiating about," Zelensky explained.

The head of state also stressed that today the Ukrainian Defense Forces are 100% supplied with fuel.

"Our priority is the army, we understand a clear volume, how much we have supplies. We have supplies of diesel and gasoline for the entire state, including the army, somewhere around 700 thousand tons per month. We roughly understand the volumes - somewhere around about eight, there 7.2-7.4 million tons a year. In principle, we understand how to ensure this," he summarized.
