A third group of people allegedly comes to power.
U.S. President Donald Trump said there has already been a "regime change" during the war in Iran.
This is reported by CNN.
"If you look at the situation, there has already been a regime change, because one regime has been defeated, destroyed, they're all dead. The next regime is almost dead, and the third regime is completely different people that nobody has dealt with before. It's a whole different group of people. So I consider it a regime change, and frankly, they're being very prudent," Trump told reporters on Sunday, March 29, aboard Air Force One.
February 28, a joint U.S.-Israeli operation against the Iranian regime began. The airstrikes resulted in the elimination of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
On March 8, Iran's Council of Experts elected Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the deceased Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as the country's new supreme leader.
