The dictator wants to "optimize" medical institutions in the regions.

Alexander Lukashenko is thinking about the optimization of health care institutions in the regions. The head of the Ministry of Health will be instructed to "see where we need something, where we don't need it," said the dictator during his visit to Petrikov district on April 25.

In the course of his visit to the region, Alexander Lukashenko visited Petrikov central district hospital. There he learned that the institution includes seven district hospitals, 22 feldsher-acupuncture stations (FAP) and seven outpatient clinics of general practitioners.

The dictator wondered how optimal and justified such a structure is.

- We need to figure it out so that we do not spend extra money. I'm not in favor of closing FAPs, district hospitals. But we need to look where we need to look," said Lukashenko.

He decided to instruct Minister of Health Alexander Khodjaev to "once again walk around the country and see where we need something, where we don't need it.
