After 15 explosions, a massive fire broke out.

On the night of April 26, drones reached the Yaroslavl region of Russia, where a major oil refinery, Yaroslavnefteorgsintez, came under attack, writes "Focus".

This is an industrial enterprise of Russia's oil refining industry located in Yaroslavl. After a series of explosions at the plant a heavy fire has risen, monitoring channels report.

"Defense forces sanctioned UAVs visited the Yaroslavl oil refinery ("Yaroslavlnefteorgsintez", YANOS), there is a fire at the facility after the attack," the report says.

There was no official confirmation of the attack on the facility at the time of publication. However, footage allegedly shot in Yaroslavl during the drone attack is being actively circulated online.

Russian Telegram feeds say an air-raid siren is howling over Yaroslavl and multiple explosions are being heard in the city. The first of them were heard around 00:40 hours. Eyewitnesses in total counted at least 15 explosions.

Russians complain that bright flashes were seen in the sky and the rumble of engines could be heard. The explosions are so strong that windows in houses shake and cars in yards have sirens going off.

Before that, the region had issued an alert over the threat of drones, and Rosaviatsia imposed restrictions on the local airport.
