Smoke covered half the sky.
A fire broke out at the Nurlino linear production and dispatch station (LPDS) in Russian Federation on the night of May 13, the network reported. Local authorities are silent about the incident, although Russians are publishing videos of a black and gray column of smoke that draped the sky, writes "Focus".
What happened at a Russian oil infrastructure facility located 1,400 kilometers away from Ukraine, and why its damage is no less important than the attack on the Perm LPDS?"
The first reports of the incident near Ufa appeared online on the morning of May 13, according to a series of posts on the Telegram channel Exilenova+. Russians on social networks published photos that recorded pillars of smoke over the region. OSINTers have established that they are talking about the Nurlino LPDS, located 22 kilometers northwest of Ufa. Videos taken from different angles showed the incident at the oil pumping station, and the regional department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry confirmed it had left to extinguish the fire.
The Bashkortostan and Ufa publics were not informed about the air alert and the UAV threat that transmitted the fire. Meanwhile, it is noted that Nurlino is part of the main oil pipelines of the Russian company Transneft, which makes money for the Kremlin and the continuation of the war in Ukraine. The location of the facility is in the south of the Russian Federation, under the Ural Mountains: oil would be headed towards Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Taman and refineries in the respective regions. On the map of oil pipelines we see that the Nurlino LPDS is to the south of the Perm LPDS: according to the scheme, pipelines coming from Siberian fields, such as from the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, converge there.
Photos from Bashkortostan showed clouds of smoke that were getting darker and spreading over Ufa.
