Operators of the Unmanned Systems Force grouping have destroyed a rare and one of the most expensive Russian drones, the Merlin-BP, in the eastern direction.

According to Censor.NO, the reconnaissance UAV was shot down by pilots of the Phoenix border unit.

"Merlin-VR" was introduced by the Russian Research Institute of Modern Telecommunication Technologies in 2021 and is considered a rather rare target.

According to public data, the cost of the complex may exceed $300 thousand.

The drone is designed to conduct aerial reconnaissance in automatic and semi-automatic modes, as well as to detect positions, adjust fire and monitor the movement of forces and equipment.
