The White House revealed the details.
In the Oval Office are stored instructions for US Vice President J.D. Vance in case he suddenly has to succeed President Donald Trump. This was revealed by Deputy Assistant to the President Sebastian Gorka in an interview, writes Fox News.
"In Resolute's desk drawer there is a letter addressed to the vice president if something happens to him (Trump, - ed.).... We have protocols, believe me. Not ones that I can discuss, but we have protocols," Gorka said.
At the same time, the deputy assistant to the president expressed doubt that a foreign enemy would try to eliminate a president who is attending an important summit in Beijing.
"Everybody wants recognition from this man. This is the most powerful person we've seen since people like Eisenhower. Isn't he? This is a man that everybody wants to sit at the same table with, to attend a state dinner, to be recognized," Gorka said.
