Finnish President: Ukraine Has All Trump Cards On Its Hands

The course of the war is changing.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb has said that Ukraine has managed to seize the initiative in the war with Russia, and therefore any negotiations with Moscow should be held from a position of strength. He expressed this opinion in an interview with 15min.
The Finnish leader said that the first year after the full-scale invasion was a struggle for survival for Ukraine, the next four years were a time of resilience, and now the situation is changing in Kiev's favor.
"Now everything comes down to mathematics. Ukraine is in the lead. Since December, it has killed or wounded between 30,000 and 35,000 Russian military personnel every month. Kiev is now launching more drones and missiles into Russian territory than Moscow can repel. In April, for the first time in the entire war, Ukraine gave back more territory than Russia was able to seize. To use an old saying, Ukraine holds all the trump cards. This gives it serious leverage. Therefore, negotiations should be conducted from a position of strength," Stubb emphasized.
He also noted that Russia is losing not only on the battlefield, but also in the strategic dimension.
As an example, the Finnish president recalled that the Soviet Union during World War II advanced about 1,600 kilometers in four years, while the Russian army was able to advance only 60 kilometers in four years of war against Ukraine.
In addition, according to Stubb, the Kremlin faced serious geopolitical consequences: Ukraine was finally strengthened as a European state, and NATO expanded with the accession of Finland and Sweden, a strategic defeat for Moscow.
