Trump responded to Tehran's actions.

Iran is in talks with Oman to establish a permanent tolling system for the Strait of Hormuz.

It was reported by Bloomberg.

"Iran and Oman should mobilize all their resources both to ensure safety and to manage the shipping in the most efficient way," Iranian Ambassador to France Mohammad Amin-Nejad said.

He noted that there will be costs involved and added that those who want to benefit from the flow will also have to contribute their share. The Iranian ambassador said the system would be transparent.

"And if there is any desire to improve the situation today, a solution must be found to address the root of the problem," he said.

Trump's reaction

U.S. President Donald Trump has come out against tolling the Strait of Hormuz. The country's leader wants it to be accessible to everyone.

"We want it to be open, we want the entrance to be free, we don't want tolls," Trump emphasized.

Reminder, negotiations between the US and Iran have reached an impasse due to a number of fundamental disagreements. Tehran offered to transfer more than 400 kilograms of enriched uranium to Russia for storage, but Vance rejected the proposal.

Washington insists that Iran should give up uranium completely and not transfer it to a third party.
