Peter Magyar withdraws Viktor Orbán's decision.

The Hungarian government withdraws its intention to withdraw the country from the International Criminal Court. This was announced in X by Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar.

The previous government led by former Prime Minister Viktor Orban decided to withdraw from the ICC last April. The country's parliament approved the move the same month. Former Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said Budapest was refusing "to be part of a politicized institution that has lost its impartiality and credibility."

Official notice of withdrawal was sent to the UN secretary general last June.
