After the explosions, fires broke out.

In the evening on Friday, May 22, Novorossiysk (Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation) complained about an attack by Ukrainian UAVs. Air defense tried to work on the targets, but it is already known about hits - preliminary, the port and oil terminal "Grushovaya" were hit, fires broke out, writes OBOZ.UA.

Russians shared the corresponding footage in social networks. They also complained that during attempts to shoot down UAVs, minors were "racing on scooters and the sounds sounded a lot like drones."

The port of Novorossiysk is known to have been attacked and a fire broke out there.

The NASA FIRMS service also recorded a fire at the Grushovaya oil terminal.

It was also identified as one of the affected targets by OSINT analysts of the world.militares community.

"Ukrainian troops have attacked the Grushovaya oil terminal." Photos shared by residents show a fire at the facility. The terminal is the largest oil storage facility in the Caucasus: 44.6929982099313, 37.76897663383929," the report said.

The loss of the Grushovaya oil terminal is also confirmed by Exilenova+.

"Grushovaya oil terminal, Chernomortransneft, a part of Transneft. The largest oil storage facility in the Caucasus. The oil depot consists of underground and above-ground tanks with a total capacity of about 1.2 million tons of petroleum products. Fifty tanks ZhBR-10000 for oil and oil products with a total capacity of 500 000 m³ and 14 tanks RVSpk-50000 for oil with a total capacity of 700 000 m³. Its main function in peacetime is to act as a collector for the Novorossiysk oil port," it added.

Novorossiysk Mayor Andrey Kravchenko first reported a drone attack and later declared a missile threat as well. He also wrote about the closure of a number of roads.

"In the area of the embankment from Isaev Street to Suvorovskaya Street traffic is blocked! It is forbidden to walk along the embankment! Traffic in the direction of Gelendzhik is CLOSED from the intersection of Sudostalskaya and Portovaya streets, as well as in the direction of Novorossiysk from Kabardinka," Kravchenko said.

Russian Federation admitted that the UAV attack caused a fire at an oil depot. Meanwhile, OSINT analyst ASTRA has determined that the video of the aftermath of the May 22 AFU attack on Novorossiysk was taken from the M-4 Don highway, which runs along the eastern part of Tsemesskaya Bay. With a high degree of probability, the fire occurred at the Sheskharis PC.

The Sheskharis transshipment complex is the largest oil-loading terminal in southern Russia, which is part of the structure of JSC Chernomortransneft (PJSC Transneft). The facility provides reception, storage and export shipment of oil and oil products to tankers.

PK "Sheskharis" has already been attacked in early March and early April.

Also ASTRA confirms that the oil terminal "Grushovaya" in the mountains near Novorossiysk is also on fire.

"As established by ASTRA's OSINT analyst, the Exilenova+ video of the aftermath of the Ukrainian attack on Novorossiysk was shot from Khvorostyansky Street, the distance from the shooting point to the Grushovaya Balka tank farm is 11-11.5 km," the publication noted.
