"Now The Situation For Russians Is Changing."

AFU colonel on strikes on the main logistical artery of the Russians to Crimea.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have taken over the highway, along which for years the Russians have been pulling cargo from Rostov through the occupied Azov region to Crimea. After the strikes on this section, the occupiers already have traffic problems and anxiety over fuel supplies.

The AFU reserve colonel, flight instructor, military expert Roman Svitan explained on air "Channel 24" that for the Russians this road was a key part of the land corridor. Now the situation is changing for them, and the dangerous section there is already well visible.

The land corridor to Crimea is already losing its stability

The highway in question is the one that stretches from Rostov-on-Don through Taganrog, Novoazovsk, Mariupol, Berdyansk, Melitopol and on to Chongar and Dzhankoy. For the Russians, this was one of the main logistical arteries to Crimea, which they used for years to transport fuel, ammunition and other military supplies through the occupied part of the Kherson region.

This route has long remained stable for the enemy, and that is why large volumes of supplies were chased along it. According to Svitan's estimates, the Russians used to transfer up to a thousand tons of military cargoes there, but after the appearance of FPV-controlled operational-level drones with a range of more than 100 kilometers, the road has already begun to enter the gray zone.

- As soon as there is a sufficient number of such drones, and they promise 6,000 pieces, this route will be simply impassable for the Russians, - the reserve colonel stressed.

He says that this area is very convenient for such work, because the road is open and well visible. The Russians already realize this, so they are starting to block some sections, and the most problematic for them is the section from Chongar towards Dzhankoy.

- It's jammed there, you can't get off this highway and you can't go anywhere. They will not go through the swamps, so this zone will be constantly controlled, - said the military expert.

In such a configuration, even point control has a strong effect, because Russian cargoes are forced to go the intended route. If delays, closures and problems with fuel in Crimea have already appeared on this road, it means that the strikes are hitting the entire supply scheme, not just a separate section.

Drones with AI are killing logistics on the approach to Crimea

The situation for the Russians is complicated not only by the very appearance of long-range FPV drones. German HX-2 and HX-5 drones with artificial intelligence elements, which hover in the air, wait for a certain time for a target and then choose the moment to strike.

It is especially dangerous for an open road that stretches along the coast and gives almost no opportunity to hide or change the route. Svitan explained that on such a highway Russian vehicles become a predictable target, and digital algorithms and machine vision give drones almost guaranteed defeat.

- Barrage munitions hang there, they can hang for several dozens of minutes and, in principle, they find a target themselves," the military expert noted.

He emphasized that we are not talking about a few random strikes, but about constant control over several hundred kilometers. The road is open, well visible, and Russian trucks cannot simply disappear from it.

- The Russians do not have enough air defense. it is already insufficient for Moscow, not to mention the Kerch Bridge. Who will cover this Chongar crossing there?", - concluded the reserve colonel.

Because of this gray zone on the approach to Crimea for Russians will only expand. If there are more drones of this level, traffic along this highway will turn into a daily lottery for them with very bad chances.
