The new product is equipped with powerful features.
A new SIRENA trimaran unmanned surface vehicle has been developed in Ukraine. The system is equipped with powerful electronic warfare capabilities and missiles designed to take out Russian aircraft.
This was reported by "Military".
Features and Capabilities of the Drone
According to the publication, the latest SIRENA unmanned trimaran was unveiled at the Eurosatory international exhibition in Paris. The platform was specifically designed to conduct complex electronic warfare (EW) operations in restricted and disputed maritime areas.
The drone’s key distinguishing feature is its integrated multi-band jamming system, which operates across a wide frequency range from 300 to 6,000 MHz. Thanks to this, the system is capable of simultaneously jamming enemy communications, GNSS navigation signals, and control channels for other UAVs.
The effective radius of electronic suppression of enemy systems reaches 30 kilometers. For navigation and defense, the trimaran is equipped with a Pelican V1 radar and a Scorpion V5 electronic warfare system, which is capable of effectively jamming enemy autopilots and countering “Shahed”-type kamikaze drones.
Weapons and Specifications of the System
In addition to jamming systems, the UAV is equipped with heavy weaponry to counter air targets:
A SeaDRAGON launcher is installed on board
The system is capable of firing AIM-9M Sidewinder air-to-air missiles against aircraft
The trimaran’s maximum speed is up to 90 km/h
The vehicle’s payload capacity is up to 300 kilograms.
SIRENA can carry out combat missions in autonomous, semi-autonomous, and remote-controlled modes.
The unmanned vessel is capable of continuous operation for up to 24 hours, providing coastal defense and conducting reconnaissance at distances of up to 800 kilometers from the command post.
Developments in Ukrainian MilTech
As a reminder, Ukrainian developers recently unveiled another unique autonomous system for the front lines. Global Mark has created the “Sea Trident” underwater drone, which is adapted for fully autonomous missions and capable of striking strategic targets at long ranges without being detected by enemy radar.
In addition, domestic defense companies are actively integrating artificial intelligence into new technologies. Learn more about how ground combat robots and drones are learning to operate in underground environments or in the complete absence of GPS and satellite communications.
