Iran Has Restricted The Passage Of Ships Through The Strait Of Hormuz

Negotiations with the U.S. have been postponed.

According to local media reports, warning shots were fired in the area of the Strait of Hormuz, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a radio warning urging ships not to approach the strait. There is no official confirmation of this information yet, reports BILD.

Meanwhile, Iranian authorities stated that ships can still pass through the strait, but only after submitting an application and meeting the established conditions.

This jeopardizes the preliminary agreement with Iran that U.S. President Donald Trump negotiated a few days ago. Tehran demanded an immediate ceasefire “on all fronts, including Lebanon,” but Israel stated that it does not consider itself bound by these conditions.

On the night of June 19, the Israeli army attacked more than 80 pro-Iranian Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, including command posts, launch sites, and other infrastructure.

The talks scheduled for today between the U.S. and Iran in Switzerland have been postponed: Washington attributes this to logistical challenges, while Al-Mayadeen, a TV channel close to “Hezbollah,” reported that Tehran is delaying the delegation’s departure due to the Israeli operation in Lebanon.
