Vladimir Putin’s so-called “special military operation” is expanding and has already reached Tyumen—where powerful explosions rocked the city on Saturday afternoon, June 20. This was reported by local residents, according to Dialog.UA.

According to social media reports, at least two explosions were heard. It is highly likely that they occurred on the grounds of a local oil refinery.

Prior to this, a drone alert had been issued in the city, and according to monitoring channels, the facility was conducting an emergency pressure relief in the system.

The Tyumen Oil Refinery is a fairly large facility with a refining capacity of 7.5 to 9 million metric tons of crude oil per year.

It is noteworthy that Tyumen is located approximately 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
