Russia Is Preparing For A Mass Mobilization

An expert pointed out an important signal from the Kremlin.

Russia is currently preparing for a mass mobilization, which is set to begin closer to fall. This was stated on "Apostrophe TV" by the head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation Petr Andryushchenko.

According to him, in May and June, Russia suffered heavy battlefield losses in Ukraine and is falling catastrophically behind schedule in recruiting new soldiers. He explained that checkpoints and inspections were indeed set up in Penza and the surrounding region, but this is not the kind of sensational development that would indicate the start of mass “militarization.”

However, as Andryushchenko reported, another event is significant: recently, mobilization drills were held in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation for all military commissars, including those from the occupied regions, with the exception of Crimea.

“This is what they are preparing for. This is the first time such exercises have been held since the war began. This indicates that the Russian Federation is launching mobilization efforts,” Andriushchenko emphasized.

According to him, residents of the occupied territories will be the first mobilization reserve.

“A total mobilization, intended to reassure the Russian population, will largely begin in the occupied territories—the idea being that they wanted to join their new homeland and must now go and defend it,” he said.

As Andriushchenko explained, the so-called “Russification” will unfold from the occupied territories, and everything is already in place there for this. He noted that this will mainly affect not Ukrainians, but former migrants who obtained Russian passports and came there to do construction work without registering for military service.

According to Andriushchenko, the Russian leadership is convinced that Russians will “swallow” mass mobilization and that there will be no unrest, even when coffins are being transported en masse.

“Russian society has now lost the capacity for any kind of resistance,” Andriushchenko added.

The expert emphasized that sociological studies show that Russians want the war to end, but only with a victory over Ukraine and the cessation of our state’s existence.
