Ukrainian developments are expected to reduce the effectiveness of Russian UAV attacks.

Ukraine has tested new experimental weapons designed to counter Russian drones, which are slated to enter mass production and be deployed to the front lines once the results have been analyzed.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi attended a demonstration of these developments under conditions as close to combat as possible. He reported this on Saturday, June 20, on his page at Facebook.

Sirsky emphasized that the nature of the war is constantly changing, and massive attacks by Russian strike UAVs and FPV drones are forcing the search for rapid technological solutions to protect the lives of Ukrainian servicemen. The demonstration of experimental weapons was organized by the Central Directorate for Innovation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which coordinates efforts among developers, scientists, and manufacturers.

According to the Commander-in-Chief, the results achieved prove that the new Ukrainian systems are capable of significantly reducing the effectiveness of enemy airstrikes.

“For security reasons, I will not disclose the technical specifications, operating principles, or possible scenarios for the use of these new systems. Our goal is for the Russian occupiers to learn about their capabilities directly on the battlefield,” Syrsky emphasized.

He added that the test results will be analyzed in detail in the near future, after which a decision will be made on scaling up production and integrating these systems into the Defense Forces’ units.
