A fire broke out in the port area of Kerch.
On the night of June 21, the occupied Crimean Peninsula came under a massive drone attack. Amid the shelling, explosions were heard in Kerch, Simferopol, and Sevastopol. Online reports indicate that a fire broke out in the port area of Kerch, according to “Focus”.
Due to a drone attack, the occupying authorities have closed traffic on the Crimean Bridge. This is stated in a message from a Telegram channel that is monitoring the situation on the bridge.
“Vehicle traffic on the Crimean Bridge has been temporarily suspended. We ask those who are on the bridge and in the inspection area to remain calm and follow the instructions of transportation security personnel,” the warning states.
The monitoring channel “Crimean Wind” reported that the attack on the occupied peninsula began around 11:00 p.m. At first, eyewitnesses reported seeing a drone flying overhead and hearing the sounds of the occupiers’ air defense systems in action; a few minutes later, a powerful explosion rocked Simferopol.
Over the next two hours, explosions were also heard in the Dzhankoy District, as well as in the towns of Gvardeyskoye, Armyansk, Feodosia, and Sevastopol. In addition, explosions continued to be heard in Simferopol, after which eyewitnesses reported the smell of smoke.
Around 1:00 a.m., the drones also reached Kerch, where an explosion was heard near the Palace of Pioneers. After that, car alarms went off en masse throughout the city, according to “Krymsky Veter.”
In the minutes that followed, at least 10 more explosions were heard in Kerch, coming from the direction of the Sea of Azov, the channel reported. In addition, explosions and the active operation of Russian air defense systems were later heard near the Crimean Bridge.
The OSINT channel Exilenova+ reported that a fire broke out near the port in Kerch following the series of explosions. However, there has been no official confirmation of the attack yet.
