Due to power problems following a drone attack.

Crimean residents have been urged to limit their electricity consumption while the power grid failure in the region is being resolved. Oleg Kryuchkov , an adviser to the head of the peninsula’s occupying authorities , proposed turning off air conditioners and non-essential electrical appliances. On Sunday, the air temperature in Crimea is 30 degrees Celsius.

Crimea suffered a partial power outage following an attack by Ukrainian drones. Power went out in the Northwest, Central, and South Coast power districts, according to “Krymenergo.” The cause was cited as “damage to the power grids.” The Russian-appointed “governor” of Sevastopol announced the implementation of rolling blackouts “to alleviate grid overloads outside” the city. The schedule will be published by “Sevastopolenergo.”

The Emergency Dispatch Service reported that the power went out in the city around 9:30 a.m. Two hours later, Razvozzhaev reported that power had been restored “in most areas.” To address the power shortage in Sevastopol, two units of the Mobile Gas Turbine Power Plant (MGTPP) were put into operation, local residents told “Crimean Wind.” The facility, which includes six gas turbine units with a total capacity of 129.3 MW, is located in the Balaklava District.

In addition to Sevastopol, power outages occurred in Alushta, Armiansk, Krasnoperekopsk, and Dzhankoy. In Dzhankoy, water supply was also restricted due to a “power grid failure,” according to the “head” of the city administration Igor Ivin. He said that during repairs, water will be supplied on a two-hour on, two-hour off schedule.

On the night of June 21 the Ukrainian military attacked an oil depot in Kerch and the “Kavkaz” port, which serves the Kerch Strait crossing. There were no reports of strikes on power facilities at that time. The Russian-appointed “head” of Crimea reported four deaths and 28 injuries. Fuel sales on the peninsula have been completely suspended. In turn, the Krasnodar authorities closed the Kerch ferry crossing.
