And they continue to grow.
Ukraine continues to increase the intensity and range of its medium- and long-range strike campaign.
This is reported by Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Strikes on the rear of Russian forces have penetrated deeper
The Russian opposition publication Meduza analyzed the coordinates of Ukrainian strikes on the occupiers’ military equipment and logistics based on data from the GeoConfirmed project.
According to the analysis, in May and June 2026, the average depth of Ukrainian strikes increased significantly.
Whereas targets were previously struck a few kilometers from the front line, they are now being hit tens of kilometers behind Russian lines.
Hundreds of attacks on Russian logistics
French OSINT analyst Clément Molin has confirmed, based on video footage, at least 500 Ukrainian strikes on Russian trucks and vehicles between May 1 and June 18.
In addition, geolocation data confirms 270 such strikes since the beginning of 2026.
According to Meduza, in May, Ukrainian forces were particularly active in attacking the rear areas of the Russian group in the Gulyaypole and Orekhov directions.
Sections of the M-14 Rostov–Crimea highway in the southwestern part of Donetsk Oblast and the eastern part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast were targeted.
The focus has shifted to Crimea and the Kherson region
In June, the intensity of attacks in these areas decreased.
At the same time, as Meduza notes, the Ukrainian military has shifted its focus to the temporarily occupied Kherson region and Crimea.
The campaign of strikes against the nearest rear areas of Russian forces in the Pokrovsk, Konstantinovsk, and Slavyansk sectors has also expanded.
According to ISW estimates, Ukrainian forces carried out at least:
210 medium-range strikes on occupied territories in May;
145 such strikes in June as of today.
The flight range of Ukrainian drones is also increasing
Analysts also noted the expanding capabilities of Ukrainian long-range drones.
On June 21, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the new Ukrainian Fire Point drones have already struck targets at distances of up to 2,070 kilometers.
According to the head of state, Ukrainian drones will soon be capable of striking targets at ranges of up to 3,000 kilometers.
More Strikes on Russian Oil Infrastructure
The ISW notes that since March 2026, Ukraine has also expanded the scale of its strikes on Russian oil infrastructure.
According to geolocation data from analysts, Ukrainian forces have carried out at least:
18 strikes on Russian oil facilities in April;
33 strikes in May;
28 strikes in June as of today.
As is well known, the temporarily occupied Crimea has recently been suffering from these attacks. A number of enemy facilities are on fire following the shelling, and cities and towns are left without electricity.
