Trump: Those Who Impose A Tax On U.S. Digital Services Will Face New Tariffs

The U.S. president stated that some European countries are close to introducing such a tax.

The U.S. will impose 100% tariffs on all goods imported from European countries that approve a digital services tax on American companies. This was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.

“This TARIFF nullifies any trade agreements concluded with that country, regardless of whether they have been implemented, signed, or not,” the U.S. leader warned.

Trump noted that some European countries are close to introducing such a tax.

European Union leaders mentioned last year that they were prepared to impose a tax on American technology companies.

Earlier, Donald Trump stated that the U.S. would start a new trade war with France if Paris did not repeal the digital tax on American tech giants.

According to him, Washington would have “no choice” but to impose 100 percent tariffs on French wines.
